Regulations.govOMB Control No. 2025-0008Exchange HomeContact UsHelp

In the current release of Regulations.gov, we've included a preview of summary statistics and a graphic of site content for 2009. This is the first of many forthcoming dashboard and graphic tools intended to make information from Regulations.gov more accessible and useful. So, here’s our plan:

  • Include more types of summary data
  • Dynamically generate summary data and display in real-time
  • Highlight effective dates and impacted industries
  • Display geographic areas identified or affected by regulatory actions

There are various challenges to expanding these types of tools particularly in the completeness of the source data, but we think there are benefits.

What other types of summary data would you find useful? Tell us what you think.

PDF Download

The idea of pdf download really is a great idea

Yes you are right

PDF reader is the daily need for every PC user

PDF Readers

The default reader is Adobe Acrobat reader, but it's a little large. Foxit reader is lighter weight. Just general FYI, if you haven't heard of Foxit, try it out.

statistics

statistics are also important for monitoring and updating purposes only.

Visual Person

I am also a very visual person, so seeing information put into graphs really helps me understand the data more clearly.

Hope to see more soon

It is a great idea that regulations.gov has taken the inititive to improve their site and dashboard. The currect interface is user friendly and quite appealing already. It would be interesting to see what the coming months will bring.

Screen shot

The page/screenshot is very easy to understand and read. I tend to like more info so more than 5 items for each would be nice. It definately needs the dates and industries would be nice. Overall, works well.

Lynda

Hi

the majority of people receive information best in visual form, presentation of info in graphic form would communicate best to the largest number of people.

Organized

Really like the look of the graph, It's very organized and easy to read.

Looks Great

Used the grahps in a school presentation, I liked them too. Denver Personal Trainer

Intutive Navigation

No question, intuitive navigation and "drill down" with the ability to access the information you are after in two, or three, clicks tops is what makes most commercial websites successful. Creating things that are intuitive is a tremendous amount of work - if it is easy to use than it was hard to create.

Great Info!

The charts and visual maps are great!

Content Suggestion

Showing the amount of comments is great, but maybe you could show which regulations get viewed the most and break it down by month.

John,

Great stuff

thanks for the good stuff, the PDF is a good addition too

Good

Nice Job

This is very nice...

Dashboards on Regulations.gov

I think good presentation of quality data is key for the masses of non-technical people to really understand what is going on. Doing it this way really enhances the usability of any given data.

Maps and Charts

Statistics of any form are best presented graphically and would like to see more samples before passing jugdgement but this is certainly a step in the ring direction.

This is Great

The graphics are great, but I agree that a printable PDF would be very useful.

Graphs

One thing to include would be graphs that show the actual dollar amounts appropriated to each measure.

nice

I really like the transparency that this will bring about. Great job!

Grateful

This site is just what I need to get my web presenance off the ground. Now I have a place to put my Ohio State Merchandise with all the other stuff. Glad the dashboard updates daily. Thank you again regulations!

Top 10 instead of top 5

I would like to see more than just the top 5. It would be nice if the tool allowed you to choose a top 10.

Thanks,
Leroy

Updates

Hello!

The plan provided above is practically all that there must be, but I think something should be done with the update time.My personal opinion is to update the data weekly if possible, or if that is not possible, then monthly.

Thank you.
